A fish merchant in Arbroath were getting plagued by phone calls to try and get them to change electric suppliers.
Initially, I managed to save approximately £1000 a year on their water bills, I then asked them “Why do I not have a look at your electric?”
The client was astonished to find that I reduced their bill by a massive £8000 per year. This was down from £22000 to £14000 (36%).
How I did this was due to a couple of factors.
The customer was already paying too much but scared to deal with anyone over the phone. This is a common problem and one reason why a personal broker could be just the thing you need.
Reduced the 2 rate system to a 1 rate system and managed to save additional costs.
As you can see its not only about given client better deals but its also about the structure of the deal and the energy companies are all different so you need to have the access to them all to manage to achieve maximum benefit.
Overall annual saving for this client was £9000.
